Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews rescued and resuscitated five dogs from a house fire. The fire, which broke out around 12:45 p.m. Monday, left five people displaced. First responders were able to control the fire within 30 minutes and found the dogs inside the home. CBS 6 reports photos shared on social media show firefighters treating the dogs for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The lockdown was ordered around 4 p.m. yesterday after the package was discovered. Law enforcement responded quickly and issued an all-clear around 4:30. This shipyard is planning an investigation into the incident.
The City of Richmond has sold an 18-acre plot of land as part of the Diamond District redevelopment project. The plot, known as "Phase 1A," will include public infrastructure and private development, including a hotel, housing units, and commercial space. WRIC reports future phases will add more housing units and commercial space. The land was sold for $11.4 million, with additional payments to reimburse costs. Construction on CarMax Park, the future home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels, is underway and expected to open in 2026.
