A woman is hurt after a stabbing in Henrico County. Henrico Police say a man cut the woman's throat yesterday afternoon on the Southside on Thalen Street in East Highland Park. She was taken to the hospital, and police say her injuries are life-threatening. The man was arrested after a car chase ended in a crash in Richmond in the area of 7th Street and Route 360. There's no word on if anyone was hurt in the crash.
Virginians can now go online and compliment state troopers for their work. The Virginia State Police recently unveiled their "Thank a Trooper" program. A yellow button on the state police website allows the public to identify and thank state troopers for their efforts. The troopers will be notified about the compliments and some messages will be featured on state police social media platforms.
Speed bumps are nearly never popular but they are in Colonial Heights. A neighborhood in the city (near Richmond) bedeviled by brazen speeders - until the city installed 2 speed bumps.
