A man is in the hospital after his truck was hit by an Amtrak train in Prince William County. Investigators say the crash happened around 9:30 a.m. at a railroad crossing in Bristow. The train had just left the Manassas station on its way to Roanoke. The driver was reported in stable condition yesterday and no one on the train was hurt. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Governor Youngkin is accelerating plans to build a new bridge over the Rappahannock River. The governor announced yesterday that the project to replace the Robert O. Norris, Junior Bridge will break ground in 2028. The nearly two-mile-long bridge carries thousands of cars between Middlesex County and Lancaster County every day. The project was expected to begin in 2036.
