A pedestrian is in the hospital after a hit-and-run crash last night in Fairfax County. Officers stopped a car in Bailey's Crossroads just before 8:30 p.m. The driver allegedly tried to flee from the scene, hitting several other vehicles and injuring the pedestrian before crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of Dawes Avenue and Leesburg Pike. The driver reportedly tried to flee on foot but was caught and arrested for DUI, with more charges expected. Police say the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries.
