Two pre-teens are accused of breaking into a Petersburg business. The 12-year-olds were arrested for burglary after the suspected crime last Sunday. One of the kids was allegedly armed with a gun. Deputy Police Chief Emanuel Chambliss told News6 that they could go as far as to charge the parents with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Flags are being lowered around Virginia in honor of Fentanyl Awareness Day. Governor Youngkin ordered flags on state and local buildings lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset today. The governor says Virginians should remember those who lost their lives due to fentanyl poisoning, as well as the families that have been changed due to those deaths. The governor also wants to recognize those who work to prevent fentanyl overdoses through education and awareness efforts.  
 
 
Early voting for Virginia's June primaries will begin on Friday. The only statewide races on the primary ballot are between Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor and attorney general. Some communities will also pick candidates for the House of Delegates and several local elections. The early voting period runs from May 2nd to June 14th, with Election Day scheduled for June 17th.
