A Lynchburg woman has been charged with homicide following the death of her five-month-old baby. Twenty-three-year-old Endia Walker was originally arrested for multiple counts of felony child neglect following her child's death on March 26th. Investigators announced yesterday that Walker now faces a charge of felony homicide in connection with the baby's death. The Lynchburg Police Department has not released the cause of the child's death, saying only that the case is under investigation.

Chingiz Bahadur [[ CHEEN-giz bah-hah-DUR ]] was named National Young Marine of the Year during a ceremony in Texas late last month. Bahadur is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria and is a member of the DC-based Potomac River Young Marines. He will be spending a lot of time traveling over the next year, speaking to other Young Marine groups and serving as a role model for group members.
