Changes are coming to a senior housing complex in Richmond. Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority CEO Steven Nesmith [[NESS-smith]] was at Stonewall Place yesterday. He was there to oversee the installation of a temporary AC unit after residents complained about conditions in the lobby and the hallways. Nesmith apologized to residents for not addressing the problem earlier. He also says Stonewall and other senior facilities are getting millions of dollars in renovations. Nesmith tells CBS 6 seniors are first and foremost in our mind.  
 
 
The Secret Service is outlining the security plan for the Democratic National Convention next month in Chicago. Mayor Brandon Johnson says Chicago is ready for this event.

Increased local security measures will be in place around the United Center and McCormick Place in the days leading up to, during and immediately following the convention. Temporary road closures around both venues are just one of the measures coming into play, especially in light of the attempt on former President Trump's life at a recent rally in Pennsylvania.  
 
 
A northern Virginia transit service will make a series of route changes next week. OmniRide will discontinue its Manasass-Pentagon Express route on Monday while also combining two other routes. Smaller changes will also affect other express and local routes in the Prince William area. The OmniRide Express base fare will increase from nine to 11-dollars each way, while the cost of a monthly pass will go up by 20-dollars.
