A single mother who was evicted from her public housing unit in Richmond may get to move back in. The Richmond Regional Housing Authority says it'll review the eviction of the woman who lived in Gilpin Court. She doesn't want to share details about herself, like her name, but she says she was forced out of her home eight months ago and cries every night. She says she feels defeated, lost and like she failed her kids. She says her eviction process started when her son was accused of armed robbery, but he was never convicted. The RRHA, though, says a conviction isn't needed for an eviction. Still, RRHA CEO Steven Nesmith promises to give her case a second look based on what he says is new evidence. The former tenant tells CBS 6 she just wants a second chance to have stable living for her children.
