A northern Virginia community is mourning the likely death of a woman reported missing last month. A vigil was held yesterday in Manassas Park for Mamta Kafle Bhatt following the arrest of her husband on charges of concealing a body. Several people attending say the police chief told them yesterday afternoon that Bhatt's body has not been found but that she is unlikely to be alive. The community is also focused on the welfare of Bhatt's one-year-old daughter and is raising money to bring the woman's parents to the United States to care for the girl.

The state Department of Wildlife Resources has kicked off a contest to find great photos of kids enjoying fishing. Photos must feature children between one and ten-years-old, with prizes to the top finishers in each category. Entries will be accepted through October 4th.
