More affordable housing could be coming to Richmond. The city council yesterday discussed approving seven affordable housing grants. The council approved eleven grants last year as part of the city's goal to build a thousand affordable units a year. If the new grants get approved, this would amount to almost 33-hundred affordable units over the last two years. Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney says he's very proud.  
 
 
The Virginia War Memorial in Richmond will be hosting the state's annual Patriot Day Ceremony tomorrow. The ceremony will commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks that injured and killed thousands of Americans on September 11th, 2001. The ceremony is free and open to the public, and is set to begin at 11 a.m. More information is available on the Virginia War Memorial's website.  
 
 
Americans are throwing parties for what was once considered a gloomy life event: divorce. American views on both marriage and divorce have become less rigid. According to Pew Research Center More than half of all adults say couples stay in bad marriages too long. Seventy-one-percent of adults say that having a job or career you enjoy is important to having a fulfilling life, while only 23-percent say the same of marriage. Some say divorce parties can signal to others that this is a decision you take pride in, not shame.
