Virginia Tech alerts students of possible assault. Collegiant Times reports an assault occurred Saturday at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech, prompting a VT Alert to warn students to avoid the area. The incident involved the use of a knife, but the victim was able to escape the suspect. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, is still at large. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Virginia Tech Police department.
Two people have been charged after a man was shot and killed at a car wash in Woodbridge on September 14th. Police say a verbal altercation between the victim, 54-year-old Earl Duwan Miller, and another man turned physical before the suspect shot Miller. The suspects, Jermaine Antwoine Lewis and Vinisha Lanisa Neville, fled but were apprehended on I-95 shortly after. Lewis faces second-degree murder and firearm charges, while Neville is charged with brandishing a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

The ceremony honors first responders, like Chesterfield Fire recruit TyVaugh Eldridge, killed in the line of duty. His grandmother, Karen Carter, was at the ceremony. She tells CBS 6 she's grateful Eldridge was recognized for what he did.
