Early voting begins today in Virginia. The presidential race is getting the most attention, but a casino referendum in Petersburg is also drawing interest. The Cornish Company held a pep rally yesterday to get people to vote 'Yes.' They say a casino could generate over a billion dollars for the city and even more for the whole area. There is strong opposition, though. One man tells CBS 6 he's not convinced all the promises developers are making will be realized

Today is designated as POW/MIA Recognition Day. This has Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin issuing a flag order. All public buildings throughout the state are encouraged to display POW/MIA flags in honor of those who are currently or were previously prisoners of war or missing in action.  
 
 
A new report says the U.S. spends the most and delivers the least when it comes to healthcare. Healthcare think-tank The Commonwealth Fund conducted its annual survey of ten developed countries and the U.S. ranked in the bottom two in four of five categories. Australia had the top overall ranking, despite placing ninth in Access To Care. The Netherlands, United Kingdom, New Zealand and France rounded out the top five. Also finishing ahead of the U.S. were Sweden in sixth place, followed by Canada, Switzerland and Germany.
