Investigators believe they know what happened to a man and woman found shot to death in Roanoke County earlier this week. Forty-two-year-old Amanda Rae Robertson and 58-year-old Robert Michael Jackson were found dead at a home southeast of Roanoke on Monday morning. Investigators identified a suspect and tracked him to a home in Franklin County. The suspect, 57-year-old Wayne Shortt, Junior, was then found dead at a home in Hardy. Investigators say Shortt and Robertson had a previous relationship and that no other suspects are being sought at this time.

A Chesterfield County business owner says problems with the post office are proving costly. William Pangburn runs Savoy Properties, and he says checks he's sending are winding up in the wrong place after passing through a USPS distribution center in Sandston. He says over the last month, checks have wound up in Ohio, Texas and North Carolina. Some of the checks were deposited, but Pangburn says the bank was able to get the money back. Now, he's paying his bank 25 dollars a month to personally approve each check every day before it's authorized. The money isn't the only price Pangburn has to pay, though. He tells CBS 6 day to day, it's consumed a ton of his time.
