Youngkin says he's angered and heartbroken by Goldberg-Polin's death, and he calls it a senseless murder at the hands of terrorists.
Virginia and Maryland are being included in a worldwide clinical trial of new vaccine that targets lung cancer. German biotechnology company BioNTech is developing a vaccine to treat non-small cell lung cancer, which is the most common type of lung cancer. Researchers say the vaccine will target and eliminate cancerous cells and keep them from coming back. About 130 people will be recruited at 34 sites worldwide for the first clinical trial. That includes the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore and the NEXT Virginia oncology research facility in Fairfax.
