Two Richmond parents are facing charges for killing their infant son. Thirty-two-year-old Jamel Bryant and 27-year-old Heather Hohensee have been charged in the murder of their five-month-old son last year. The two have also been charged with child abuse. Police say they responded to a report of an unresponsive child in August of 2024. The baby was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Richmond Major Crimes Detective.

Funeral services for the first Black mayor of Richmond are set. Henry L. Marsh the Third passed away last Friday, January 24th. Marsh was seen as a political trailblazer for dedicating his life to the city of Richmond. He also served in the state of Virginia's Senate. Marsh's view will be held tomorrow from 3 to 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Baptist Church. His funeral is scheduled for Saturday, the first day of Black History Month. Marsh was 91 years old.
