The self-checkout lanes at a local Portsmouth Walmart have closed. The Frederick Boulevard Walmart says it's done away with the machines. Several retailers like Target, Five Below, and Dollar General have scaled back on self-checkout lanes over the past year. They cite customer theft as one of the reasons. A LendingTree survey has found that 15-percent of self-checkout users have admitted to stealing while using the machines. Also, 14-percent of consumers say they see the machines as taking jobs away from people.  
 
Chesapeake Regional Medical Center faces serious charges for allowing a former doctor to perform unnecessary procedures on women for 35 years. Thomas Cage reports.

A convenience store in Henrico County is being accused of price gouging water during a water crisis in the region. Rocketts Market Cafe on Old Main Street in Henrico is charging near 20 dollars for a case of bottled water. Customer Susanne Harris tells WAVY she bought a case for 16-95 Monday. Normally a case of water runs between four and seven dollars. Thousands have been without running water for days due to an ongoing water crisis.
