Investigators are back at the scene of Tuesday afternoon's house explosion in Haymarket. They're working to confirm everything that led up to a gas leak that resulted in a blast that leveled a home on Colby Hunt Court. None of the four adults and two kids who were renting the place were hurt and the Red Cross is helping them out. The residents say the homeowner hired a contractor to fix a water main leak and one of the workers using heavy equipment hit a natural gas line. Utility crews capped the line but will need a few days to make repairs. Cleanup is expected to take days.
Virginians saw a rise in grocery prices in September and many wonder what kind of prices the holiday season will bring. Rebecca Hughes with more.Preview: Virginia's first Buc-ee's will be opening soon. The beloved gas and travel center will be opening near Harrisonburg in Rockingham County off Exit 240 on I-81. The store will be about 74-thousand square feet with about 120 fuel stations. It will also have over 20 EV charging stations and enough parking for 600 cars. It will also bring about 200 jobs to Virginia. The location will join 46 other locations across the southern U.S. The tentative date for opening is July 4th, 2025.
