Senator Mark Warner announced $275 million dollars are going to the Micron facility in Manassas as part of the Biden administration's CHIPS and Science Act. The initiative aims to boost domestic chip production in nation. Currently, the U.S. China and Taiwan are the highest producers of chips globally. Warner also says the initiative will bring more than 400 high-skilled manufacturing jobs to the state, and in addition will create close to 1-thousand new construction jobs.
