A man shot during a struggle with Arlington police officers earlier this week has died from his injuries. Officers began looking for the unidentified man on Tuesday after he allegedly pulled out a knife at a grocery store after telling store workers he wanted food but wouldn't pay for it. Arlington Police spokesperson Ashley Savage tells News4 Washington he was later found on the upper level of the Rosslyn Metro Station.Preview: The police department confirmed yesterday that he died from his injuries after he was taken to the hospital. The shooting is still under investigation.
There's new research highlighting an effective way for some Virginians to quit vaping. Tammy Trujillo has details.Preview: The Henrico County School Board is set to vote on whether or not they will accept grant money for the next school year. If they accept the grant money, it will go towards environmental impact, mental health, and security. One of the grants would give the district more than three-million dollars to buy ten electric school buses and charging ports. Just last month, the Virginia Department of Education said it would give 12-million dollars in school security grants to 472 schools across Virginia. Henrico County will receive close to 200-thousand dollars for security improvements at ten elementary schools.
