Rebecca Hughes with more.Preview: Schools in Hanover County could have some changes coming to students' recess time. The school district has proposed extending the recess time for elementary schools. They want to extend it from 30 minutes to 40 minutes. The school board says it would promote both physical and mental health benefits. But in order to do that, they have to cut time in other areas. Some of those changes would mean cutting time for school arrival in the morning. The changes are set to take effect next year for the 2025-26 school year.
