Several federally owned properties in the state of Virginia could be sold off as the Trump administration finds ways to cut costs. Twenty-eight properties in the state are on a list the General Services Administration have deemed "non-core" assets. Two of the buildings are located in downtown Norfolk. The Federal Building at 200 Granby Street and the historic Owen B. Pickett U.S. Custom House together account for almost 189-thousand square feet of office space. The GSA says getting rid of those properties would save more than 430-million dollars in yearly operating costs.
