The Virginia DMV says residents should start their application online, then make an appointment to make the process easy and quicker. Virginia residents will need to have a REAL ID in order to board domestic flights or enter federal facilities. Last month, the DMV issued more than 104-thousand REAL IDs to Virginians. The new REAL ID costs a one-time, ten-dollar fee along with an ID or Driver's License card fee
