The Lynchburg Fire Department rescued two people from a burning home on Wednesday morning after heavy black smoke and fire were reported at a residence on Warren Avenue. Five residents were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, with three having non-life-threatening injuries and two more severe injuries flown to regional medical facilities. 10 News Working For You reports that one firefighter sustained a minor burn but has been treated and released. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the house is considered a total loss.

WUSA 9 reports Federal prosecutors alleged that FRC misrepresented eligible payroll costs for 98 employees in its loan forgiveness application, resulting in full forgiveness of the loan.
