Military veterans and their guests are able to visit Busch Gardens in Williamsburg for free. It's part of Military Appreciation Month. The amusement park is offering all active-duty military, vets, and their guests complimentary tickets to one of their parks. Participating parks include Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Tampa, and SeaWorld in Tampa. Up to three guests will be accommodated, but vets will be able to purchase up to six additional tickets at half off the regular price. The tickets must be used by July 6th.  
 
A $37 million dollar infrastructure improvement project is set to begin on Hull Street Road in Richmond's Southside, focusing on safety, efficiency, and streetscape enhancements. The project will include street lighting, new sidewalks, signage, storm drainage improvements, and traffic enhancements. WTVR reports that the project aims to create a safer and more inviting corridor for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists.  
 
Old Dominion University in Norfolk broke ground on its new $184 million dollar biological sciences building. Its the university's largest capital construction project ever. The five-story, over 162-thousand- 500 square-foot building will house the Department of Biological Sciences and the new Arthur and Phyllis Kaplan Orchid Conservatory. 13 News Now reports that Construction is set to begin in the summer of 2025, with completion expected in time for the spring 2028 semester.
