A Roanoke locomotive has received a historic landmark designation. Locomotive 1218, once a symbol of steam powered transportation, has been restored and granted the designation at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The locomotive is the only one in the world that has survived to this day. The museum is holding a special celebration to recognize 1218 and locomotive 611 for their historic landmark status. They will allow visitors to step inside the train cabs with crew members and ask questions about the steam engines.
A Virginia port will become an international hub for shipping food. Joe Murano with more.Preview: Students enrolled in Richmond Public Schools now have access to telehealth. The new program will pair sick students with a medical professional virtually to get assessed. It's part of a new partnership with the school system and Children's Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University. The appointments will take place like any other telehealth screening, and can get kids seen by a doctor within 30 minutes. Richmond Public Schools says the program has already been used in three elementary schools, but they plan on expanding it to all schools.
