Three people are facing charges in connection to a shooting at a northern Virginia mall that caused panic in the middle of the day. The governor signed a bill yesterday that would promote research and deployment of Small Modular Nuclear Reactors. The bill could accelerate placing such a reactor at the North Anna power plant in Louisa County. The bill will also allow Dominion Energy to ask the State Corporation Commission to implement a new fee to help pay for the development of the technology.
One of the managers of former President Trump's election campaign is going after the speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates on social media. Democratic State Representative Don Scott made a post on Monday questioning why Virginia's Republican attorney general was supporting Trump, given Trump's recent criminal conviction. Trump campaign co-manager Chris LaCivita responded by criticizing Scott for spending seven years in prison for selling drugs. Scott responded to LaCivita's post by saying the MAGA movement hates him for overcoming his conviction and eventually becoming Virginia's first Black Speaker of the House.
