Help from Central Virginia is on its way to Texas ahead of Hurricane Beryl. Richmond's Michael Price volunteers for the Red Cross, and he left Saturday for San Antonio, Texas. He says he'll be distributing meals to those who don't have the capability to make their own food. Price tells 12 On Your Side it's an opportunity to help people who may be facing some pretty dire hardships in the track of the storm. Beryl is expected to hit the Corpus Christi area this morning as a Category One hurricane.
Sen. Mark Warner wants Biden out of the presidential race. The latest from Charley O'Brian.....Preview: Petersburg is under a Boil Water Notice. The city experienced what it calls a significant water line break yesterday on Arlington Street. There's no word on what caused the break. Residents are asked to conserve water until repairs are completed. That could be between 24 and 48 hours. In the meantime, residents are warned that not boiling their water may result in stomach or intestinal illness.
Tests are showing over a dozen metals in a number of tampons sold in Virginia among other states. Researchers found lead in all 30 tampons from 13 brands tested. Traces of other metals were also found, including arsenic, mercury. The findings were published this month in the journal Environmental International.
