FNN Hurricane Coverage

When "hurricane warnings" are posted anywhere along the Florida coastline, FNN may, depending upon the situation, offer additional programming material to supplement your coverage of the storm.

"FNN News Alerts" will be fed at :15 past each hour 24/7 until the "warnings" are discontinued. These reports are 1:00 in length and can be scheduled in your XDS receiver using program name "FNN News Alert (L or R)". This program is authorized for the same port as FNN newscasts (usually Port A). We recommend scheduling these reports NOW 24/7 so that they will be ready if/when coverage begins.

Net cues for the news alerts are: FNNNASTRT (Start), and FNNNAEND (End).

Advisories will be sent via email and Twitter (@newsFNN) before coverage begins and again before the last report is fed. Additional advisories will be sent for any special emergency programming in the same manner.

Please be sure your contact information is up to date. Log into either FNN Ondemand (click on "Account")or Logs on Line (click on "Contact Information") to verify your information. News alerts are sent to the news contacts.
